Apply to become a Camp Cook / Kitchen Staff member at our residential adventure camps, running between 21 June - 16 August 2026 in the UK.

This is a residential role, based on-site at Foxlease Park, our residential camp base in the New Forest. You will live on-site for the duration of your contracted camp weeks, with accommodation and meals provided.

You’ll play a key role in camp life by preparing nutritious, well-balanced meals for children and staff in a busy, supportive residential environment

responsibilities

  • Working independently in the kitchen, while communicating clearly with camp staff

  • Preparing and serving nutritious meals for children and staff

  • Managing food preparation during breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack times

  • Confidently catering for dietary requirements and food allergies

  • Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and safety

  • Following all health & safety and safeguarding procedures

  • Managing stock control and kitchen organisation

  • Prepare food in line with portion control and budget

  • Serve meals safely and on time for large groups

preferred skills & experience

  • Previous experience in a kitchen, catering or food service role

  • Diplomas/Certificates in Professional Cookery, Culinary Skills or Hospitality

  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to complete)

  • Experience working independently or managing a small kitchen

  • Strong understanding of dietary needs and allergen management

  • Organised, calm and confident approach to lone working

  • Ability to adapt to a busy residential environment
