We’re proud to share that the English language provision across UKG Language and Educamps Adventures has been accredited by the British Council, following an inspection during our 2026 summer camps.
This accreditation is an important milestone for our team and reflects the standards of teaching, student welfare and care that go into welcoming young people around the world.
What is British Council Accreditation?
Since 1982, the British Council has helped set the standard for English Language Teaching (ELT) in the UK.
Working in partnership with English UK since 2006, the British Council manages Accreditation UK, an internationally recognised quality assurance scheme and one of the world’s most rigorous inspection frameworks for English language providers.
The achieve accreditation, providers must meet established quality standards across five key areas:
Teaching and Learning: The quality of English lessons, teaching staff and learning experiences.
Student Welfare: The care, support and wellbeing of students throughout their stay.
Safeguarding: The measures in place to protect children and young people under 18.
Premises and Resources: The suitability of teaching facilities, accommodation and learning resources.
Management: How programmes are organised, managed and delivered.
For parents, students and educational agents, accreditation provides independent reassurance that these standards are being met.
What does this mean for our Students, Parents and Agents?
Choosing an English language programme abroad is a big decision, especially when young people are travelling away from home.
British Council accreditation provides independent reassurance that our English language provision meets recognised quality standards.
For students, parents and international education agents, this means:
Quality English Teaching: Confidence that our English language programmes meet independently assessed teaching and learning standards.
Student Safety & Welfare: Appropriate safeguarding measures and student support throughout their stay.
Clear & Transparent Information: Accurate programme information, clear booking details established complaints procedures.
Independently Assessed Standards: Assurance our provision has been reviewed by external inspectors, rather than solely on own claims.
Additional Student Protection: Access to the accreditation scheme’s complaints process and arrangements for alternative courses if an accredited provider unexpectedly closes.
It’s an additional level of confidence for families and agents choosing where to send their students to study English in the UK.
Our Summer 2026 Inspection
Our inspection took place while summer programmes were running at Foxlease Park, in the heart of the New Forest.
This meant inspectors could see our programmes as they actually operate, from English lessons and student support to the wider organisation of our summer provision.
For us, it also represents an important step in bringing together the experience we’ve built through UKG Language with the English language and outdoor adventure experiences we’re developing at Educamps Adventures.
Looking Ahead to Summer 2027
Our accreditation is confirmed through 2031, making an important milestone as we continue to grow and develop our programmes.
With preparations already underway for Summer 2027, including the development of our brand-new Adventure Village at Foxlease Park, we’re looking forward to welcoming more young people from around the world.
Above all, this achievement is a reflection of our teachers and wider team, who work hard to create a safe, supportive and engaging environment for every student.
We’re incredibly proud of what we’re building together and looking forward to continuing to develop our English language and adventure programmes in the years ahead.
